“I'm grateful that being in the Chorale develops me as an artist and educator.”

What does being a Phoenix Chorale singer mean to you?
By means of my relationships with my colleagues in the Phoenix Chorale, I feel connected to choral education efforts and the arts scene in the Valley. I’m grateful that being in the Chorale develops me as an artist and educator. I think most of all, though, being in the Chorale lets me touch people with music. Musical expression unifies; when we share a performance with a diverse audience, we are all reminded how much human beings have in common—in their sorrows and joys and their desires to relate and express. That is something uniquely and universally human.

If you could meet any other artist/musician who would it be? Why? What would you do together?
I want to meet the Voces8 people sometime. They seem like pleasant and interesting people, and the lit. they sing is right in my groove. Of course, I’d like to sing a concert with them.

What is your favorite song to belt out at the bar / in the car/ for karaoke?
Right now my car solo of choice is “Waving Through a Window” (from Dear Evan Hansen).

My goal is to find 30 people to give $60 in 30 days between March 9 to April 7, 2019.

Your support brightens our future, thank you!
